 Colver Proves Testing

Perhaps we are all getting a little spoiled, but Colver fished a lot harder than was expected this week. After seven or eight days of inclement weather, to say the least, sunday was pretty much fine and warm and the general feeling among the fifteen matchmen was that a big weight would be needed to frame.

It seems we anglers must be getting hard to please, as 61lb+ to win any match is not to be sniffed at!!! Well done to Gleeson Crane who took first prize with a good net of carp and silver fish, mostly caught at around five or six meters from the near bank peg 42 using casters as bait. Den Porter, peg 46, with 52lb came in second, with Simon Pepper finished third from peg 17 with 46lb 1oz.
