BJ's Lake
BJ's Lake is on the left hand side of the complex and is reached by turning left through the gate at the end of the left hand car park. This gate is at present locked during the winter due to the road only going so far and cars getting stuck in the mud. The road will eventually go right upto the lake and carry on round to Smiggy's Lake. This Lake holds a large head of Bream and Tench with tons of smaller silver fish with the occasional decent Carp to give a little fun to a days fishing
What's in a Name?
BJ's Lake was once known as the 'Left Hand Lake' and was renamed BJ's in recognition of all the work the water officers at the time had done for the club. Brian Toon and John Frankland. This lake always has, and always will be, a favourite lake for all the serious Bream and Tench fisherman in the club, with Bream going upto 7lb and Tench reported to be almost double figured.
